William “Bill” E. Parnusie Jr. passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026 at the age of 73, surrounded by love. He was a man who lived with quiet strength, a sharp wit, and a deep devotion to the people who mattered most to him.
He was predeceased by his mother, Lucille M O'Connell; his father, William E. Parnusie Sr.; and his sister, Linda Doyle.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sally, who was his comfort and companion; his daughter Yvonne and her husband, Eric Grabenstetter; and his grandchildren Cody, Ryan, Jamie, and Rylee Crawford, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his brother Robert and his wife, Laurie Parnusie; his nephew, Robert Parnusie Jr.; and his sister Joyce and her husband, Todd Penders.
Bill looked at his in‑laws not as “in‑laws” at all, but as true family. The bond he shared with Bob, Laurie, Joyce, and Todd was one of genuine loyalty, and love — a connection he valued deeply throughout his life.
He is remembered with love by extended family and close friends he held close to his heart, including Jim Harter and Ed Borghi.
Bill was an avid fisherman who found peace on the water, happiest with a line cast and the world quiet around him. He loved classic SuperSport cars, followed NASCAR with enthusiasm, and cherished the simple, steady moments spent with his family.
For eleven years, Bill looked forward to an annual gathering of friends who came together to celebrate life, honor those they had lost, and hold tight to the bonds that carried them through. That tradition — and the people in it — held a special place in his heart.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be announced on a future date, and all are welcome.
Bill will be remembered for his humor, his loyalty, his stubborn streak, and the way he loved — quietly, deeply, and without hesitation. His presence will be missed, but the imprint he left on the hearts of those who knew him will remain.
For those who feel moved to do so, memorial contributions may be made to Keuka Comfort Care Home, whose compassion and care meant so much.
