Virginia Ruth Jones

Virginia Ruth Jones, of St. John’s Meadows, died on November 4, 2024 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford, with whom she was reunited on the 40th anniversary of their wedding. Virginia was a simple woman of great faith. She loved people and cats, and cared gently for any who shared her life. Having lived for many years on Benton Street in the South Wedge, Ginny spent her final years at St. John’s Meadows where she made many new friends. Ginny had a warm and genuine spirit and a smile that lit up her face, and that she shared liberally with others. In addition to Clifford, Virginia was loved by many. Although she has no surviving blood relatives, she will be fondly remembered by many, in particular, by her dear friend, Andy Johnroe, who gave her such loving assistance and friendship in her final years. Friends are invited to a service to Celebrate Virginia’s life at St. John’s Meadows (1 Johnsarbor Dr W, Rochester, NY, 14620) on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 10am. The celebration will be held in the Chestnut Parks Room in the Chestnut Court building.
