Vickey Bushey

Vicky Bushey, age 69, of Chili, NY, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 11, 1956, in Geneva, NY, to Vince and Marge Liberatore, who instilled in her the compassion and strength that defined her life.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, Vicky touched the hearts all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness touched everyone she met, and her gentle, nurturing spirit guided her throughout her career as a nurse. Whether caring for patients, supporting loved ones, or offering a warm smile, Vicky brought comfort and light into the lives of others.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life such as boating, golfing, hiking, camping, and gathering with friends and family by the pool. Many of her happiest days were spent on Sodus Bay aboard the “Busheywacker,” soaking up the sun and sharing laughter with those she loved. She cherished time with her grandchildren and could often be found playing table games or creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Vicky is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Guy Bushey; her sons Adam and James Bushey; her daughters-in-law Amber and Liz; and her beloved grandchildren Skylar, Chloe, Anthony, and Ayden. She is also survived by her parents Vince and Marge Liberatore; her brothers Butch (Shari) and Bill Liberatore (Clara) of Warsaw, NY; her mother-in-law Catherine Bushey of Palmyra; and her sister-in-law Robin Dunning of Palmyra and brothers-in-law Danielle and Rodney. She leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

A celebration of Vicky’s life will be held at a later date, providing family and friends the opportunity to gather and honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Lipson Cancer Center, whose care and support greatly impacted her and her family.

Vicky’s legacy of love, compassion, and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
