Thomas Edward Kauffman, born on June 13, 1947, passed away peacefully at home on June 30, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas R. and Ruth Kauffman. Tom is survived by his devoted spouse, Jeff Fowler; his two sons, TJ and Steve; and his cherished grandchildren, Thomas Jack, Hannah, Glory, Leah, and Ava. He also leaves behind eight beloved sisters—Mary (Patrick) St. Amand, Barb Wyse, Karen (Robert) Scott, Cheryl (Amy Hay), Madlyn (Robert) Cassata, Patty Kirkland (Al Spangenburg), Rita Doran, and Liz (Dave) Dence—as well as three brothers, George (Lori), Kevin (Lindsey), and Edward (Paula), along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and close friends.Those who knew Tom will remember his warm smile, his generous heart, and his unwavering willingness to help others. His presence brought joy, laughter, and love to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A private service will be held for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes those who wish to honor Tom’s memory to share a story or photo, or to donate to a charity of their choice in his name. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
