It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Robert Edward Claeys Jr., who departed this life on July 6, 2025.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Claeys; his six children: Christopher M. Claeys (Jessica Claeys), Amber Bradley-Phillips (Clayton Bradley-Phillips), Carrie Queor (Brian Queor), Matthew Claeys (Stephanie Claeys), Jason Claeys (Tiffanie Claeys), and Cody Claeys; 24 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his father, Robert E. Claeys Sr. and many other loving family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother, Roberta Claeys.Born on July 29, 1956, Robert was a devoted son, father, brother, and friend. He was known for his deep love of the military and his children. You may have recognized him by his signature cowboy hat, which he wore wherever he went.
Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard for many years.Robert will be laid to rest on July 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunnyside Cemetery. Following the burial, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Williamson American Legion, 6206 State Route 21, Williamson.
All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share memories.In honor of Robert, donations may be made to the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff for their compassionate care during Robert’s final days.Though he is no longer with us, Robert’s spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
