Richard Stearns

Richard D. Stearns went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his daughter, Deirdre, and his son, Jesse (Katie). He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Margaret B. Stearns; his children Sondra (Todd), Jason (Christine), Luke (Danielle), and Molly; his grandchildren Duncan (Danielle), Casey (Katie), Max (Basmah), Mason (Madison), Ben (Seaton), Andrew, Evalina, and Amelia; daughter-in-law Katie (Jon); and his great-grandchildren Charlie-Rae and Henry. Richard was tireless in his devotion to his family. He could always be found cheering at countless sporting events and celebrations for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved golfing and fishing, especially when shared with them. Richard spent 35 years as an electrical engineer at Kodak. Later in life, he continued his commitment to service through work in healthcare as an LPN and in student medical transport. Richard and Margaret were blessed to recently celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary on August 30. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
