Richard James Moat Jr.

On Saturday October 18, 2025 at age 29 Richard lost his battle with Rhabdomyosarcoma a rare and very aggressive form of cancer. Richard is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Frederick and Kathryn Moat. He is survived by his son Bradley Barrett Moat, Fiancé Melanie Nickerson, mother Jennifer Cron Mahoney (Keith), father Richard Moat Sr., brother Jeremy Mahoney, grandmother Kathleen Cron, grandfather Frederick Cron Sr., aunt Michele Marcello (Gerald), great aunt Patti Trask, uncles Robert Cron (Donnette), William Cron (Heather), Frederick Cron Jr., godmother Heather MacGeorge (Monty), godfather Adam French, dogs Luci and Blu and several other family and friends.
Richard graduated from Cumberland County High School in Pennsylvania where he also volunteered with the needy and mentored children. He was a fan of the Buffalo Bills and an avid Cannabis Connoisseur. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing his guitars, skateboarding and his 4 wheeler. Richard was a jack of all trades and took pride in any work he did. Richard was loved by so many and will truly be missed.
