Raymond E. VanDorn, a proud Navy veteran and beloved son, brother and uncle, passed away on July 5th, 2026, peacefully in the comfort of his own home at the age of 65. He served honorably as an Aviation Ordnance man aboard the USS Midway, where he carried out his duties with dedication and pride.
He will be remembered for his service to his country, his strong character, and the love he shared with his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of honor, hard work, and devotion that will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He is predeceased by his dad Raymond T. VanDorn, his mom Dorothy LaBarge, his stepmom MaryJane VanDorn, and his brothers Thomas VanDorn, Scott VanDorn, and Timothy VanDorn.
He is survived by his sisters Cindy Bratcher (Deldric), Dawn Howard, Mildred Jackson (Joseph), and Anna Mae, his brothers Allan VanDorn, and Philip VanDorn, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of him. A place date and time will be announced soon to all family members. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memories, prayers, and support in his honor.
