In Loving Memory of Paul Tavernier
Paul Tavernier, 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 11, 2026 after battling cancer.
Paul was a hardworking, loyal, and funny man who meant so much to the people fortunate enough to know and love him. He had a way of bringing laughter into the lives of those around him, and he was someone who stood by the people he loved. Above all, Paul was a protector. He cared deeply for his family and friends and always wanted to make sure the people closest to him were looked after.
Paul found the love of his life in Lori Burton-Tavernier. After sharing their lives together for 33 years, they were married on April 22, 2018, celebrating a love that meant so much to them both.
Paul retired from Local 22 Union after a career defined by hard work and dedication. He carried that same loyalty and commitment into his relationships, remaining devoted to the people who mattered most to him.
Paul leaves behind his beloved wife, Lori; his daughter, Linda Burton-Ferner (Tony Barbieri); his grandson, Skyler Cosco (Selena Currier); and his sisters, Donna Keenan and Sharon McMahon. He is also survived by his late brother Buzz Tavernier’s wife, Judy Tavernier; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and the many friends whose lives he touched. He will also be missed by his beloved dogs, Ruby and Betty, who were an important part of his life. Paul leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, and the lasting impact of a man who stood strong for the people he cared about. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave, the loyalty he showed, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Rest peacefully, Paul. You were loved more than words can say, and you will never be forgotten.
Services will be announced at a later date.
