Patricia A “Pat” Russell passed away on August 18, 2025, at her home in Henrietta after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on January 27, 1941, to the late Sophia (Strachan) and William Welk, Sr. In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her Brother, William Welk, Jr., Brother-in-law, John T Russell, Jr., and other relatives.

Pat graduated from Charlotte High School in June 1959, and married Earl K Russell on December 5, 1959. They remained married until Earl passed away from cancer on June 12, 2024. In addition to raising two children, Pat worked at Sears for 38 years. She began her career at the location in South Town Plaza, then moved to the new store in Marketplace Mall, upon its opening in October 1982.

Pat’s greatest joys in life were her fur babies Scottie, Candy, Coby, and Chessie, all of whom will be waiting to greet their Mommy with wagging tails, and plenty of doggie kisses. They will be accompanied by the family’s African Grey parrot, Smokey.

Pat is survived by her devoted children and caregivers, Kathryn I Russell and Timothy J Russell, as well as her daughter in love Mary Faro, loyal and loving canine companion Jack, sister-in-law Linda Russell, nieces Kim and Lori, and other relatives. The family would like to thank Dr Nanette Phillis, and Dr Jessica Kleiner, for their long-term care of Pat, and the URMC Home Care Hospice Team, for their kindness and compassion during Pat’s last three weeks.
