She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren—Sasha Cai (Elena), Julian, Isabella, Cory, and Isaiah—and by her cherished great-granddaughters, KiaraMalu and EmmyLu Josephine, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her sister, Lynde, and many extended family members that she cherished.

Nancy’s life journey took her to many places including Philadelphia, PA; Albany NY; Rochester, NY; Charlottesville, VA; and Baden, PA. She touched many people’s lives as a nurse, minister’s wife, foster mother, medical secretary, volunteer, and friend. In her later years, she found comfort and community at The Homestead on Thurston Avenue in Rochester, where she spent her final years surrounded by kindness and care.
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to her friends and neighbors in Baden, PA, for their enduring love and support, as well as to the staff at The Homestead for their compassionate care over the last two and a half years.
They are deeply thankful to the University of Rochester Hospice for their guidance and support, and to Aurora House, whose extraordinary compassion, dignity, and peaceful environment provided comfort not only to Nancy, but to her family during her final days. The care she received there will always be remembered with deep appreciation.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Nancy’s memory to Aurora House (www.aurorahousewmc.com) in recognition of the exceptional care and kindness shown to her and her loved ones.
