Morris “Mo” Hargrove, 63, of Rochester, New York, formerly of North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025.
Born on November 19, 1961, in North Carolina, Mo was one of ten children and grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. A talented athlete, he played college basketball at East Carolina University and Georgia Southern University, where he made lasting memories and formed lifelong friendships — including with his best friend, Bill McNair.
After college, Mo proudly served his country in the United States Army. His dedication, discipline, and integrity were evident both in his service and throughout his life.
For more than 20 years, Mo was a valued and respected member of the Raymour & Flanigan family. Known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and infectious sense of humor, he was admired by coworkers and customers alike.
Above all, Mo was a devoted father to his sons — Ian, Justin, and Gabriel — and a proud grandfather to his six beloved grandchildren. His love, guidance, and laughter will continue to live on through them.
Mo was preceded in death by his siblings Alphonso, Frankie, Charles, Yvonne, and Freda. He is survived by his brother Harvey and his sisters Faye, Jean, and Charlene, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved him dearly.
Mo will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know him. His legacy of love, hard work, and compassion will never be forgotten
