Millie Andrese McKernan (3/27/1947 – 11/2/2025)Wife, Mother, Grandma, Gigi, Sister, and Aunt Millie Andrese McKernan with her beautiful blue eyes, radiant smile, and infectious laugh, passed peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Millie was a devoted wife and mother who would do anything for anyone. She had a heart of gold, a generous spirit, and a gift for bringing joy wherever she went. She was the life of every gathering—ready to dance, laugh, and make everyone feel loved.
She was predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe, and Marie Andrese. Millie is survived by her loving husband, Charles McKernan; children Ben (Frank Penedo) Ribaudo and Melissa Ribaudo; granddaughter Deliah (Jerome) Battle; great-grandchildren Marianna and Bryson Battle; siblings Delores (Ron) Gibson, Angelo (Karen) Andrese, and JoAnn (Hector) Cruz; sister-in-law Joanne Zimmer; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She will also be lovingly remembered by Gizmo, her loyal King Charles Spaniel, and countless friends.
Millie worked for many years in the advertising business and, later in retirement, found joy in caring for children. A proud fan of Syracuse basketball and the Buffalo Bills, she never missed a chance to cheer on her teams with family and friends.
Our family extends heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care team and nurses at UR Medicine Highland Hospital, who made her final journey so peaceful.
Please join us in celebrating Millie’s life on March 28,2026.The Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church in Canandaigua. A warm celebration in her honor will follow at Nolan’s on Canandaigua Lake.
