Michael R. Yendrzeski affectionately known as” Polak “passed on March 16,2026 at the age of 84.
The second oldest of five children, living all over the US when his Dad was stationed in the Air Force. An engineering job at Kodak brought him to Rochester from Vermont, after graduating from UVM. After 27 years with Kodak, he was offered an early buy- out and did contract work up until he needed a liver transplant, in 1992.
Post- transplant he kept busy with his Datsun/Nissan Z cars, going to his grandchildren’s sports events and concerts and trips to Vegas for the drag races with his brothers. His love of his 3 children, Debbie, David and Donna was immeasurable. His 6 grandchildren, Maggie, Cara, Taylor, Cate, Michaela and Trevor stole his heart. He married the love of his life, Debbie in 1982 and they enjoyed their life together. He is also survived by his brothers Bill, Jim and Steve, and sister Sharon. Sisters- in- law, Lee, Sue’s Anne, Linda, Julie, Diane Janet and Carol. Brothers- in- law Len, Rick, Terry, Jim, Dominic, Tim and Rich. Sons- in- law Tom and Mark, daughter- in- law Susan. Mother-in-law, Theresa and several nieces and nephews. His final act of kindness was to donate his body for research. Please no flowers but consider donating to the Transplant Fund at UR or UR Hospice. Per Michael’s wishes there will be no service.
