Mathilde Muthig (Thilde)

Rochester, N.Y. January 5 2026 Age 89 after living many years with Alzheimer’s. Mathilde is predeceased by her husband Anton Muthig, parents Gottlieb and Mathilde Bruckner. She is survived by her daughter Sonja French, sister Friederike Nagy, sister Inge and Fritz Barta, and sister Hedi and Rolf Werner, also several nieces and nephews. At age 19 she immigrated with her family from Germany in 1956. She worked as a housekeeper. She was very active in her church and sang in the church choir. She enjoyed baking and gardening.

 In leu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer Association. At this time there will not calling hours or service. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
