Mary Ellen Brown

MaryEllen, Age 74, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Herman “Butch” Brown, whom she shared an unconditional and everlasting love. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Margaret Dixon Barrett, and was the proud eldest of seven children. MaryEllen is lovingly remembered by her dedicated advocates sister Eileen & brother-in-law John Hovey. Also survived by siblings Rob (Judy), David (Sheree), Michael (Debbi), John (Chris) Barrett and Karen (Tim) Federation. She cherished her special place in the hearts of Shawn, Jessica and Jennifer (her Goddaughter) and their children- EllaRae, Hunter, Izzy, Kinzlee, JJ & Theron Hovey, whose presence always brightened her life, brought her laughter and smiles, and made her feel extra loved. She had many dear nephews, nieces, family members, friends near & far. She loved deeply, always offering a listening ear and valuable advice. Her disease took her much too soon, but she has now found peace. You can imagine her walking her beloved furry companion, Ottis, on the beach watching the waves and soaking in the sunshine. She left everyone who knew with special memories and her incredible smile. At her request, no service will be held.
