Malinda Gazinski

Malinda Lucy, 89 years young, Dansville, NY brought her final journey to a peaceful close on Thursday, June 25th, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her dearly.

Born on Jan 29 in Richmond, VA to Malinda & Virgil Wigington. Lucy lived a life defined by her limitless faith and loving generosity.

She spent her years pioneering in service, being a stronghold to her family and friends, and was happiest whenever she was gardening in the backyard and cooking for family. Her infectious smile and ability to still kick her leg high while dancing around the house to her favorite tunes. She will be most remembered for her style of dress, apple jelly and blueberry pies, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lucy’s legacy of love lives on through her surviving family: Mary & Michael Johnson, Malinda & Anthony Carson, James Parker, Patricia Parker and Michelle Martinez, and her 10 grandchildren, Latasha, Sarah, Shawn, Brenda, Meikos, Chantel, Dwayne, Rachel, Jessica, Shante, 41 Great-grandchildren - Imani, Alana, Amir, Elijah, Sophae, Nijia, Iari, JaiLyn, Chaniyah, Jade, Mathias, Caedan, Shawn, Dai’veonne, Denim, Skye, De’ori-Kye, Shawn, Olivia, Nahziyah, Kya, Tamiyah, Yahira, Joya, Patton, Paisley, Amir, Cayden, Nasariah, Kassidy, Kiana, Jayden, Ieysha, Lincoln, Laynna, Jameelah, Nasariah, Kassidy, Journei, Madisyn, Dream – 7 great-great grandchildren, K-C, Da’Satti, Sahria, Marcellus, Santos, Cayden, King.

She joins in rest her late husband, Rudolph Gazinski, Son Jerry Parker, Son in Law Tony, and Granddaughter Kimberly Parker as well as many other relatives, parents & siblings.

A private celebration of Lucy’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at her home. In honor of her bright spirit, all family attendees will wear white.
