Madelyn C. LaPiana

MADELYN C. LAPIANA age 69 of Ossian passed peacefully on Monday September 29, 2025. She was born the daughter of Louis and Mary (Morgan) Edick on August 28, 1956 in Dansville, New York. She married Anthony LaPiana on March 3, 1984. She was employed by Finger Lakes DDSO and in 2010 decided to retire after 31 years . She did not care for the heat but enjoyed being outside enjoying the cooler weather of the spring and fall whenever she could. She enjoyed reading as well as doing an assortment of different puzzle books. She developed a love for football in her retirement years and (much to the dismay of some of her family members) often rooted for the Kansas City Chiefs. Madelyn had a great love for all animals and had countless cherished pets throughout the years.

She is survived by Anthony, her husband of over 41 years. Daughter Tiffiny of Ossian and Son Jeremy (Sheri) of Cohocton. Brother Richard (Erika) Edick of Germany, Sister Gloria (John) Hall of Mount Morris, Sister In Law Debra Edick of Nunda. Along with many more loving family members and dear friends. She was predeceased by her father Louis Edick in 2005 and mother Mary Edick in 2011 along with her brother Stephen in 2025.

A Celebration of life followed by a short service will be held at a later date at the First Presbyterian Church of Tuscarora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Madelyn’s Family or to the First Presbyterian Church of Tuscarora.
