Listen to Obituary

IRONDEQUOIT, NY- June 7, 2026 at the age of 71 after a two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. LoAnne is predeceased by her parents, Lois and Earl Van York, of Canisteo, NY. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Greg; son, Michael Crego, daughter, Janice York, and foster daughter, Esra, and her three children; multiple four-legged grandpups; siblings, Bridget McInroy and Darrell York; and numerous close extended family members and friends.

LoAnne retired from Cherry Ridge Assisted Living Facility in 2020, where she took great pride in caring for the elderly. She is a long-time member of Covenant United Methodist Church, where she was very active in the choir and church related activities. Her faith was very important to her and helped her navigate many difficult times throughout her life.

LoAnne and her family would like to extend their utmost appreciation for the care received from Dr. Sajeena Geevarghese, Dr. Nicole Rubin, and their entire GYN oncology team. Thank you for making a long and difficult battle as fun and tolerable as possible.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Covenant United Methodist Church, 1124 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14609. LoAnne's memorial service will be held there on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 1 PM. The service can also be streamed online at covenantroc.org.
