Kathleen Sue Amato (Grana)

Kathy Amato (Grana), 77, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025. Kathy was born on October 2, 1947, in Newport News, VA, the oldest daughter of Rosemary and Richard Grana.

Kathy loved her family and was always there when anyone needed her. She was a constant source of understanding and balance. She enjoyed celebrations with food, champagne, and laughter. She loved playing cards, music, movies, the ocean, and spending every winter in Florida.

Kathy is survived by her endlessly devoted partner of 16 years, Kevin Jones, her son Frank (Erin and stepson Edwin), her loving sister Cheryl (Steve), brother John (Michelle), adored nieces and nephew, Karimah (Charles), Katie (John), Jonathan (Sam), Lindsey (Steven), and Claire (Steven). Step Daughter’s Sara (James), Stina (Marshall), and Laura. Cherished grandchildren Noah, Sydney, Seth, Waylon, Vera, Antonio, Jaeyla, Kaiyana, Xariyah, and Amar’e.

As well as great nieces (Lulu and Mabel), and great nephews (Steven, Grant, Teddy, Liam, Luke, Cole, Crue, and Frankie), aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents and younger brothers Richard and Gary Grana.

A private celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Unity Palliative Care Fund; Make a Gift - Rochester Regional  

She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
