Judy Jensen

Judy Jensen , a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, at the Laurel House Comfort Home, following an inconvenient encounter with cancer. Born on July 1, 1954, in Geneva, NY, Judy was the cherished daughter of Charles and June Jensen.

Judy was a proud graduate of Geneva High School, class of 1971. Her life was a testament to her love of learning, creativity, and independence. She was a masterful sewer, applying her skills at Select Fabricators, where she eventually retired. Throughout her varied career, she also worked in the auto industry, cake baking, and manufacturing, always bringing her unique flair to every role she undertook.

Her artistic talents were evident in her beautiful stained glass creations, her ability to reupholster and refinish furniture, and her woodworking skills. Judy was a member of the R.U.F.F Flying Club, where her adventurous spirit took flight—literally—as she enjoyed flying airplanes. She also had a passion for motorcycles, swimming, and skiing, living each day with zest and curiosity.

Judy's knack for finding treasures led her to become a pro at garage sales and flea markets, where she hunted for hidden gems. Her friends and family will always remember her fiercely independent nature and radiant smile that could light up any room.

Judy is predeceased by her parents, her sister Sandra Lovejoy and nephew Justin Lovejoy. She leaves behind a family that will miss her dearly, including her children, Christopher (Nina) Lyons and Mandy (Carl) Jones; her grandchildren, Joseph (Elizabeth), Abigail, Conner, Alexander, and Caitlyn; her step-grandchildren, Tiffany and Trenton; and her great-grandchildren, Daisy, Cypress, Harley, and Asher. She is also survived by her sister, Linda (Donald) Dillman, several nieces and a nephew, her dear friend and neighbor Tammy, and her beloved cats, Sam and Idgit.

Judy's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Judy's memory to the Ontario County Humane Society (Happy Tails Animal Shelter) in Canandaigua, NY, an organization dear to her heart. Cherish your fur-babies.

Judy's legacy of love, creativity, and adventure will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on free as it deserves.
