Judith Ann DiSalvo

June 25, 1943 — May 5, 2025

Rochester

Judith Ann DiSalvo (née Boynton) was quick to remind you that she goes by Judy! A woman who lived life with a fiery zest and a dash of sass sadly passed away on May 5th, at the age of 81. She leaves a legacy of unforgettable stories, quick wit, and strong opinions. Judy was a force of nature, a whirlwind of energy, and a true original. Before her passing, Judy requested that everyone share a little wit or good humor instead of a memorial service.

Predeceased by her husband Charles J DiSalvo, parents Stephen and Geraldine Boynton, siblings Stephen and Christopher Boynton, Annette and Elliot Hutton. She is survived by her children Charles S DiSalvo (Peggy, niece Ellie, grandchildren Anthony and Christopher), Tammy DiSalvo, her brother Philip Boynton, sister-in-law Phyllis Boynton, and several nieces and nephews.

She was her children's fiercest defender growing up, a lioness of a mother and when appropriate helped to smooth things over before involving Dad. She was a crossing guard, lunch lady, Girl and Boy Scout troop leader, and an expert at writing those school tardy notes. Canasta was her card game of choice, and she played for hours. Retired from Friendly's, she returned to tending bar. Linda Dole, her bestie, was her partner in shenanigans. May they resume their antics amongst the clouds once again.

Judy was a proud breast cancer survivor. An example to those around her of what it looks like to live bravely while putting others' needs first. Her flower gardens gave her great joy. She cared for her family, friends, dogs, and felines. Delivered food and supplies to those who were in need. Judy gave freely her time and heart and never asked for anything in return.

She was known for her trademark spunk until the end. May she rest in peace, and may her memory continue to spice up your life.
