WEBSTER, NY- July 6, 2025 at age 76.
John is predeceased by parents, Paul and Elizabeth Rayburn, sister, Bonnie Rayburn; Survived by the love of his life, wife, Linda ; son, Kurt (Bridget) Rayburn; daughter, Kimberly (Robert) Duncan; grandchildren, Katherine and Andrew Rayburn; sisters, Sally Berndt, Patricia (Gerry Belcher) Dekdebrun, Sharon (Brian) Wagenbaugh; many other family members and friends.
John earned his Master’s degree in Accounting at RIT. He then went on to get his CPA license. He was a veteran in the Naval Reserve , serving in active duty during the Vietnam War. There he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
John was an avid collector of stamps, classic car models and car memorabilia. He loved roller coasters and rock concerts, camping and card games, dancing and DVDs, festivals and family gatherings. His gentle spirit and sense of humor brought love and laughter to everyone whose life he touched.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Webster EMS Services/ PVA in John’s name. John’s Memorial Service will be held Saturday August 2nd, 10:00 am at the Chapel of Peace located in the Riverside Cemetery, 2650 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612. Interment will be private.
