John Howard Laley, age 75, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Rochester, New York.

He is predeceased by his beloved parents, Elizabeth and Howard Laley, his mother-in-law Catherine Bacchetta, father-in-law Louis Bacchetta, and brother-in-law Thomas Bacchetta.

John is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Cherlyn (née Bacchetta); their children Christopher Laley and Eric Laley (Stephanie); and his sister, Mary Saunders. He was a proud grandfather to Kingston and Makayla Laley. John also leaves behind 17 cherished nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

A lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, John could often be found cheering on his team. He was also a passionate wrestling fan and found great joy in the sport throughout his life.
