James William Wozniak

James William Wozniak of Greece, NY passed away September 16, 2026 at the age of 83. Jim was born February 3, 1943 in Buffalo, NY.
Jim is predeceased by his wife, MaryAnne Wozniak; his parents, Angeline and Boleslaus “Benny” Wozniak; and his siblings, Patricia (Edward) Banaszak and Carol (Robert) Gliss.
He is survived by his children, Suzanne (Chris) Brower, Carrie (Pete) Dailor, and Laura (David) Lenahan; grandchildren Emma Lenahan, Sophie Brower, Cassidy Lenahan, and Keagan Brower; stepchildren Kristen (Paul) Pata and Steve Bubel; grandchildren Alyssa Bubel, Paul D. Pata, Jack Pata, and David Bubel; many nieces and nephews in Buffalo; his friends Stewart and Marianne Bailey; and other dear friends and neighbors.
After earning the rank of Eagle Scout in his youth, Jim went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Buffalo before completing a degree in meteorology at Texas A&M University. He proudly served as an Air Force meteorological officer, obtaining the rank of Captain, during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Jim built a successful career in Sales and Marketing at Eastman Kodak for 25 years.
Outside of work, Jim enjoyed fishing and boating, was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, and was a devoted, active member of his church community.
A private burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Rochester, NY.
