Listen to Obituary

James Franklin Napoleon (JR), 61, of Kendall, New York, passed away peacefully on November 26th, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: family barbeques, tending to his garden, caring for his chickens, fishing, hunting, fixing anything that was broken, and more than anything, spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. They were his pride, his purpose, and the center of his world.

His favorite place besides his own backyard was an annual stay at a close Family friend's cottage, full of family, friends' memories and a slew of laughs. The place for all to come together to reconnect, create new memories and have a blast! All were welcome. JR loved his family and friends deeply.

He was a Loving Husband, Son, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, and Friend

He was a hardworking man (his hands showed that), a skilled and dedicated Master Mechanic, of 47 years. JR helped countless people through his work, often going above and beyond to lend a hand. His kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

JR had a special way of lifting spirits with his humor. His unique sense of comedy—sometimes subtle, often mischievous—had a way of giving everyone around him a well-needed giggle.

JR was preceded in death by his Father, Frank (Jim) Napoleon, his brother, Chad Napoleon, his Grandparents, very Special Aunts and Uncles, Nephew, Garrett.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Tracy; his children, Jimmy and Felicia (Donald); his loving mother, Darla; his cherished grandchildren, Paetyn, Blake, and Makaela; his beautiful nieces, Angela and Cassie (Ben), great nephews Beauden and Lincoln; In laws Claudette(Bill), Mike(Kathey), Judy, Gary, Patty, Vickie and all of their extended families. Aunt, Uncles, many cousins, many friends, and customers who became family.

JR did not wish for a traditional funeral, but rather for his loved ones to come together in joy and remembrance. At a later date, the family will hold a Celebration of Life at his home with close family and friends—a place filled with memories, love, and laughter to honor the incredible man he was.

He will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever by all who were blessed to know him.
