Canandaigua-James W. LePore (Snoopy), age 82, passed away on August 8, 2026.

He is predeceased by his wife of 51 years Shirley LePore; brothers George(Terry) LePore, half brother Joe (Mary Lou) and half sister Marian, (Martin) Smole.

He is survived by two daughters; Connie Helker, Michelle (Dave) Bowser and granddaughters; Ashley (Ian) Hybert and Brooke Helker (Bob Mankins); Sister Irene (Kenny) Kolupski and lots of nieces and nephews.

Jim was born in Rochester, NY and was the son of James V. LePore and Mary M. Falone. He attended Bloomfield schools. He was proud that he completed his GED; he was a proud Army Veteran and became a helicopter repair maintenance instructor. He was a part of the Finger Lakes Boomers, Holcomb ambulance squad and a firefighter. He had a passion for car shows, Harley Davidson, woodworking, collecting coins, clocks, Buffalo Bills, and RC airplanes. He worked at Southco and drove for KJ transportation for years.

He was known for many phrases and jokes, such as “never trust a fart” or the way he would answer the telephone “LePore’s morgue you kill em we chill em”.

He is loved by many and will be missed! We can only pray that he and Bob Rider don’t get kicked out of heaven for all of their shenanigans.

A celebration of life has been planned for Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 2 PM till 5 PM at Outhouse Hall Richard P. Outhouse Memorial Park 2550 Outhouse Road, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
