January 18, 1945 – September 30, 2025
James Edward Kiereck, 80, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. A devoted father, proud grandfather, and passionate sports fan, Jim lived a full and spirited life marked by love, loyalty, and quiet resilience.
Born in 1945, Jim spent his career working for Eastman Kodak, where he developed many lasting friendships and took pride in his work. In retirement, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: a hot cup of coffee (or several), a Buffalo Bills game, a good hockey match, and the companionship of his beloved pets.
He had a special bond with his cat, Sunny, who brought him comfort and joy in his later years. Though he never had a dog of his own, he took great pleasure in loving Rocky, a rescue dog adopted by his son, Michael.
Jim was preceded in death by his brother John (Margaret/Peggy) Kiereck, son Matthew Kiereck and daughter, Dawn Kiereck, whom he loved deeply and missed dearly. He is survived by his son, Michael Kiereck, daughter-in-law, Leigh Kiereck, grandchildren, Austin Bower, Faith Kiereck, and Grace Kiereck, who will forever cherish his quiet wisdom, his dry sense of humor, and his unconditional love.
