James D. “Jim” Archibald

Rochester NY:  Passed away peacefully at the age of 49 on January 6, 2017 after a 14 month battle with cancer. Jim leaves behind his loving wife and partner of 21 years Rachael Archibald, children Ann (Rory) O’Connor, Rich Routly and Christapher (Erica) Routly, sister Betty (Carlos) Solivan, sister-in-law Lee Ann Archibald, nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his 5 grandchildren Tyler, Nathanial, Cadence, Alexandria, and Samuel.

Jim was pre deceased by his father Lawrence Archibald, his mother Emily (Patterson) Archibald, his brothers Ken, Steve, Andy, and Tommy Archibald.

Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jim was also an entertainer. Whether it was drumming in the various bands he had been part of over the years, DJing weddings, benefits, proms for School of the Holy Childhood, or doing sound and lights for other bands and any CURE events he was available for, Jim put his everything in to it.

A Service for friends and family to remember Jim will be held in the All Seasons Chapel at the White Haven Memorial Park on January  20, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Friends are welcome to join us that evening at Nashville’s (Rochester), one of Jim’s  favorite venues, to see Download, one of Jim’s favorite bands, people he loved working with,  and a great group of guys to celebrate Jim’s life.
