Ian Stuart McKay

Ian Stuart McKay, aged 57, died peacefully with his family on January 3, 2026 in Rochester, NY. He was born January 31, 1968.

Ian was a loving husband, father, son and brother to his family. He is predeceased by his parents Andrew and Margaret McKay. He is survived by his siblings Bonnie, Carol (David) and Andrew (Aileen), and his children Katherine (Max), Ian and David and his grandson Henry with loving support from step mom Carol Lombardo, sister-in-law Suzette and niece Elizabeth. Ian was previously married to Peggy Locke

Ian was kind-hearted, helping those around him. He was an avid soccer player, and worked for Kodak as a Supervisor in the Communications Department. He wore his Scottish heritage proudly and embraced the McKay motto Manu Forti, Latin phrase meaning "with a strong hand,”

His inner sparkle will be deeply missed by all family members and friends. A celebration of life will be held at his favorite gathering place, on January 17th from 2- 4pm at Kim’s WoodShed.
