Hope born 01/01/1963, is Predeceased by her husband Shelby *Skip* Brooks, Parents Thomas and Eva McGinnis, granddaughter Bryanna White, sisters Faith Dawson, Julie Hooverson and Tracy Rendsland. Survived by Children Amanda *Mandie* McGinnis, Eric *EJ* (Crystal Williams) McGinnis, Nichole *Nikki* McGinnis and Bryan (Amber) Harrison. Grandchildren Brittany, Erica, Maddox, LeeAnna, Logan, Savannah, Andie and Lillian. Great granddaughter Mayella. Siblings Thomas (Patty) McGinnis, Tammy (Cliff) Parker and Cindy McGinnis. Many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Special nieces Jennifer and Ava and nephews Joey, TJ and Brandon. Life long friends Nutsie, Anne Marie, Ann *Bubbe*, Susan and Kelly.

Hope graduated college with a business degree, also worked for many years as a machine operator in a book binding factory. After which she pursued a career in home nursing.

The passing of her granddaughter Bryanna, set a spark off in Hope, who then became a fierce Disability Rights Advocate. A task she selflessly gave her time, heart and physical strength to. And lets not forget MULTIPLE ARREST. A fact she always shared proudly.


After a long battle with lung cancer and later, end stage renal failure. Hope transition peacefully in the early morning hours on September 3, 2026.


Family is welcoming all for a memorial service on September 18, 2026 at Camp Eastman,

1301 Lakeshore Blvd, Rochester, NY 14617

In the Ontario lodge from the hours of 5pm-8pm

Food and beverages will be served at 6pm. And words from family and others will start at 7pm.
