Frances Atwater

Frances (Franny) S. Atwater (Cox)

Franny passed away Tuesday, May 20th, at the age of 82. She was born in Santa Barbara, CA on February 14, 1943 on Valentine's Day because she was such a Sweetheart! She was married to her beloved husband, Frederick Atwater, for 46 years and lived in Yorkshire, NY. She graduated from the School for the Deaf in Rochester, NY in 1962. They were members of the Buffalo Deaf Senior Citizens and the Southwestern Association of the Deaf. Fran loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was an animal lover and she especially cherished all of her cats.

She is predeceased by her precious husband Fred, her mother and father, William and Martha Cox, and her brothers, Bill and Jim Cox. She is survived by her Stepsons, Rick (Janet)Atwater of AL., John (Kim) Atwater of AL., Walter (April) Atwater of OK., Timothy (Michelle) Atwater of FL., grandchildren, David, Fritz, Ben, Amanda, Josh, Shane, and Amber, and great grandchildren. Her cousins, Suzy Vella, Kitty (Frank) Billiski, Don (Stefanie) Christoff, David (Julie) Christoff, Carole Thomas, Patty Ashworth, Jim and Kenny Dodson, and families and special friends, Franny Richter (family) and Richard (Sue) Reisner.

Fran's service will be held on June 14th, at White Haven Memorial Park at 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford, NY 14534 at 12 PM in the Creation Chapel. Franny and Fred's inurnments will follow at 1 PM, where they will be reunited in the Lasting Light Court South building on site.
