Ellen L. (Hettel) Parsons

Greece, NY: Passed October 30, 2026, at age 93. Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Raymond E. Parsons, their daughter, Paula, granddaughter, Kimberly, grandson, Shawn, sister and brother-in-law, Verna and Rene Julien, and sister-in-law, Gail Hettel. Survived by her children, Laurene (Gary) Cowd, Raymond (Marcia) Parsons, Alan (Cindy) Parsons, Karla (Victor) LaBarbera and Paul (Beth) Parsons, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, brother, Eugene Hettel, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ellen grew up in the Dutchtown neighborhood in Rochester. She graduated from Nazareth Academy in 1951. She was a gifted violin player and received a scholarship to Eastman School of Music. She became a stay-at-home wife and mother who spent her life caring for and loving her family.

Services will be held privately with immediate family with inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
