It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Ellen Hubbard, age 78, of Williamson, New York, who peacefully left us on December 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Ellen was born on January 19, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and endless compassion. She had a unique ability to bring warmth into every room she entered, whether she was tending to her dog, Peaches, hunting for treasures at yard sales, Facebook live sales or sharing stories that left everyone laughing. Her infectious joy and sense of humor will forever be cherished by those who were lucky enough to know her.
Family was everything to Ellen. She found her greatest happiness in the company of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings. She was the proud mother of Michele A. Witt and Anthony Desmond Perrotto, and the grandmother of Matthew (Shawnna) Thompson, Tiffany (Josh) Rood, and Kayla (Doug) Cote’, and 9 great grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Ellen was the kind of grandmother who showered her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with love, hugs and kisses. Every moment spent with her was a gift, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family.
Ellen is also survived by her devoted sister, Roanne (Doug) Rist, and brothers, Raymond (Beth) Shenk, Timothy Shenk, and Mark Greenlee, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years, Elmo Hubbard, and her parents, Raymond and Rhoda Shenk and Patricia Shenk, as well as her brother, Zachary Shenk.
Throughout her life, Ellen taught us all the importance of resilience, kindness, and finding joy in the little things. She faced every challenge with grace and never lost her sense of humor. Her laughter was a constant source of light in the lives of those she loved, and her memory will continue to inspire us to live with love, compassion, and joy.
A celebration of Ellen’s life will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Sodus Bay Sportsman's Club, where family and friends will gather to share stories and honor her incredible life.
Ellen’s spirit, her laughter, and her love will live on forever in our hearts. Though she may no longer be with us in body, she will never be far from our thoughts, and we take comfort knowing she is now reunited with her Family in Heaven.
