In Loving Memory of Edwina “Winnie” Udea Bruce

March 20, 1966 – July 8, 2026Winnie lived a life centered around her love for Jehovah God and her family. Raised by her mother, Jean Postwaite, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Winnie dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized at the age of 16 in 1982. Throughout her life, she served as a regular and auxiliary pioneer whenever she was able and had a deep love for the ministry. Even throughout her illness, she continued letter writing and was always asking for more stamps. Her faith remained strong until the end, with some of her final words expressing her anticipation of Paradise. Her five children followed in her footsteps and all became baptized Witnesses. Whenever her children felt overwhelmed or unsure of what to do, she would remind them, “As long as you don’t leave Jehovah, everything will eventually work itself out.” Those words now hold an even deeper meaning for her family than ever before. Winnie was a devoted and self-sacrificing mother who always made sure her children had what they needed, and she especially loved spoiling her three grandchildren. She had a playful spirit and loved creating catchy songs for her children. Winnie loved being outdoors in the summer, music, and football. Her favorite colors were red and black, and she loved black panthers. She looked forward to the day in Paradise when she could finally have one as a pet. Winnie leaves behind her five children, Talia Holloway, Rachel Rosselli, Darriel Davenport, Kenya Schwartz, and Darrell Bruce; their spouses, Clifton Holloway, Jake Rosselli, Luke Davenport, Nick Schwartz, and Miranda Bruce; her three cherished grandchildren, Josiah Hollins, Kharmen Holloway, and Khairo Holloway; her mother, Jean Postwaite; her sister, Marlese Postwaite; her niece, Najeanai Snead; her aunt, Deletta Clark; her cousins, Onna Williams, Prince Clark, Brik Clark, Jehlen, and Victor; and a host of extended family and friends. Winnie will be remembered for her faith in God, her devotion to her family, and the love she so freely gave. Her family finds comfort in the hope she treasured throughout her life and looks forward to the day when they can welcome her back in Paradise.
