Drinda Marie Lally (Shea), 81, passed away peacefully on May 6 at Highland Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, to Doris and Arthur Shea, Drinda grew up in a loving family and maintained strong family bonds throughout her life. She was deeply devoted to her family. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Martin. She is survived by her brother, A. James Shea; her sons, Michael (Karen), Christopher (Diane), and Matthew; and her beloved grandchildren, Erin, Logan, and Lucas.
A woman of deep faith, Drinda was a devoted Catholic who found strength, purpose, and community in her beliefs. After retiring, she generously gave her time volunteering for the Kidney Foundation and helping to care for her grandchildren.
Drinda will be remembered for her enduring strength and the care she offered so freely to others. Drinda’s legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and deep love.
A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Penfield, NY on Saturday, May 24th at 11am. Family and friends are welcome to join in honoring her life.
