Deborah Elaine Cannon

Deborah Elaine Cannon, of Rochester NY, passed away on January 11, 2026, after a long illness. She was born in Rochester, New York, to her parents William and Ophelia King. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her family and her faith were the center of her life.

For more than 30 years, Deborah faithfully served as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, dedicating herself to Bible study, various ministries, and attending services at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall on St Paul St, Rochester NY. She loved encouraging others with the comforting promises in God’s Word and drew strength from one of her favorite scriptures, Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” Her gentle kind words, listening ear, and warm presence lifted the hearts of many, and she will be deeply missed by family, her spiritual brothers and sisters, and many others.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ophelia King and William King; her sister, Anita King; her brother Wayne King and her son, Jorrell King. She is survived by her loving husband, Kenney Cannon; her son Adrian King (Jennifer), her sister, Susan Buckner; her brother, Christopher King (Anita); her four grandchildren, Tahzeiaya, Adrian ,Aiden, Breanna, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, along with close family friends who all mourn her passing.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Deborah Cannon will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall on St. Paul Street at the corner of Scrantom Street. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering her.
