Dante Buman

Dante Buman, age 41, of Addison, NY, passed away on September 9th, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

Born on February 6th, 1984, at Corning Hospital, Dante was a 2002 graduate of Corning-Painted Post West High School. He worked for Corning Inc. for over a decade, with his last position being a Firing Tech at the Diesel Plant.

Dante was a passionate outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was known for his deep love of nature, his sense of humor, and his love for his children.

He was predeceased by his baby brother, Victor Buman, and grandparents, James Buman Sr. and Clara Buman.

Dante is survived by his two beloved children, Brennan and Breanna Buman, and their mother, Luchiana Buckley/Buman of Savona, NY; his mother, Susan Buman, and stepfather, Mark Cole of Lindley, NY; his twin sister, Victoria Buman, and niece Emma, also of Lindley, NY; and his sister, Audrey Cole/Bickle, with nephews Korbin and Kolton of Corning, NY. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

While the family has chosen not to hold traditional funeral services, a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the USW Local 1000 Union Hall, 100 Nasser Civic Center Plaza, Corning, NY 14830. All are welcome to attend and honor Dante’s memory.
