Dana Michelle McArthur, 39, of Avon, New York, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 9, 2026, at 10:50 p.m., the night before Mother’s Day.

Dana was born on November 10, 1986, in Bradenton, Florida, the daughter of Bobbie (Mitchell) McArthur and Ronnie McArthur. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and caring spirit touched the lives of many.

Dana is survived by her beloved children, Dani Hopkins and Derek Hopkins of Avon, New York. She is also survived by her sister, Robin McArthur and brother in law Joseph Simpson of Sarasota, Florida; her 3 brothers, Brandon McArthur and sister in law Holly Wilson, and Steven McArthur of Valdosta, Georgia, and Jason McArthur and sister in law Krysta Mcarthur of Lake Placid, Florida.

She leaves behind her 3 nieces and 14 nephews who loved her dearly, including Jason Durham; John and Matthew Bates; Ashton and Xane McArthur; Bailey Henkel and her daughter, Ivy LeBlanc, all of Pontiac, Illinois; Ethan and Cameron Frailey of Arkansas; Phoenix and Dallas of Streator, Illinois; Austyn, Lana, and Jason (JJ) McArthur of Lake Placid, Florida; Dakota Wilson of Valdosta, Georgia; Cody and Skye Simpson of Sarasota, Florida.

Dana will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends, her warm heart, and the lasting impact she made on those fortunate enough to know her. Though her time with us was far too short, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
