With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Casey Ray Bard. Casey was born on August 27, 1986, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, and passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the age of 39 in Webster, New York.
He was predeceased by his mother, Robin Fulkerson; his grandmothers, Betty Bard and Linda Solinger; his grandfather, Larry Solinger; and his beloved dog, Brody.
Casey is survived by his loving wife, Lindsey; their two children, Chloe and Mason; his father and stepmother, Chris and Sherry Bard; his brother, Kyle (Kayla) Bard; his grandfather, Robert (Annette) Bard; his in-laws, Robert and Darlene Gropp, Bryan (Cheri) Gropp, Adam Gropp, and Amy (Chris Esfandiari) Gropp; his nieces and nephews, Brynnlee, Bria, Kyson, Jordan, Jimmy, and Makhi; and his dog, Bentley.
Casey fought a courageous three-year battle with cancer and never allowed it to define him. He always found the silver lining and lived life with his signature “no holds Bard” attitude. He was the founder of Tacticalories, where he combined his passion for cooking with his love of the outdoors.
Casey graduated from Edinboro University, where he met the love of his life, Lindsey. Together, they shared 19 years of love, building a beautiful life and family. Chloe and Mason were his greatest accomplishments, and he cherished cheering them on at volleyball, horse shows, and Muay Thai.
Casey loved exploring the Adirondacks, camping, watching motocross, and listening to music with his family. He had a personality larger than life; he was a natural storyteller who could captivate any room. His knowledge, advice, and unwavering support touched countless lives. An avid outdoorsman, cyclist, hunter, and powerlifter, Casey approached everything with determination and heart. Through his passions, he built friendships across the country.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his stories, spirit, and impact will live on forever.
We’ll see you in the woods.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 17, 2026, at Iron Smoke Distillery in Fairport, New York.
