Carol Suzanne Crompton

Carol Suzanne Crompton was born November 13, 1945, and passed away July 21, 2026 after a battle with cancer and COPD. Carol grew up in New Jersey mainly, having spent some years in California and Florida. She spent most of her working life as a dental assistant, having learned the necessary skills on the job after high school.

Her real love, however, was caring for all sorts of animals. She developed that great love during childhood from raising two dogs, baby birds who had fallen from their nests, rabbits, turtles, newts, a duck, and hamsters. Our home was the drop-off point for all wild animals in need of care in the 50’s and 60’s when no animal shelters existed. In adulthood she branched out to include iguanas, lizards, and snakes. Carol was never happier than when she was with her animals.

Carol relocated to Victor, NY in 2018 to live closer to her sister, Vicky. When she had to give up the care of a dog, a cat, her lizards and snakes due to worsening health, it gave her much heartache. 

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn & Frederic Crompton. She is survived by her sister, Victoria Anne Ruppert, her daughter Trisha Lynn Rothe, and her nephew Krispin James Ruppert.

A private dedication will be held by the family.
