Carmen S Cruz

Rochester, NY – August 16, 2025 at age 81. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Victor Cruz Rivera; two sons, Luis Orlando Cruz and Luis Alberto Cruz; and two cherished grandchildren, Luis Cruz Jr. and Kayla Cruz.

Carmen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a dedicated educator in the Rochester City School District, where she worked directly with children as a teacher’s aide for 17 years. She enjoyed cooking and caring for those around her, always putting them before herself. As a devout Christian, her faith was a guiding force in her life.

The family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt thanks to Unity Hospice Care and Hildebrandt Hospice facility for the empathy and compassion they extended in her final days, as well as for reaching out to Victor with support following her passing.

We loved you then, and we love you now. Always have, always will. You are forever in our minds. Forever in our hearts. We will forever carry you with us.
