Bonnie Jean (Buell, Kisha) Lewis was born to the late Robert and Elsie Buell on June 20, 1947. On April 21, 2026, Bonnie was welcomed into heaven.
Bonnie was born in Rome, NY, and graduated from Camden H.S., Jefferson Community College, and SUNY Brockport. She taught for 30 years in the Greece School District, first at Lakeshore Elementary and, for most of the time, at Buckman Heights Elementary, until retiring in 1999. The kids, their families, and teacher friends were very special to her.
She moved to Canandaigua after she retired. She loved living near the lake, and for the past 22 years, with her beloved husband, Dale. Together, they loved to travel, boat on Canandaigua Lake, and take drives around the countryside.
Bonnie was given a second life with a kidney from her older sister, Joan, in 1981. Considered a perfect match, “Sidney the kidney” lasted decades longer than expected.
Bonnie leaves behind her husband, Dale; her sister Joan Robinson of Rochester, brother Bruce (Heidi) Buell of Spencerport, as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Bonnie was greeted in heaven by her younger sister Nancy (Bill) Young, who arrived exactly one month earlier; her sister Carol (John) Pollock; nephew Tim Pollock; her mom and dad; and many other loved ones.
